Matt Contributes to a 2008 Grammy Award Winning Record

MATT joined the horn section of STEVE REID on Lead Trumpet, KENNY HAMILTON on Tenor Sax and TIM PITCHFORD on Trombone and played on three songs for the 2008 GRAMMY AWARD WINNING ALBUM by GOSPEL SUPERSTAR FRED HAMMOND entitled "FREE TO WORSHIP". The album, "FREE TO WORSHIP"  won the CATEGORY of BEST CONTEMPORY GOSPEL ALBUM. PHIL LASSITER and RHETT JARRETT were the arrangers.

Matt is going on tour with JAY-Z! 

MATT is excited to be touring EUROPE this summer with HIP-HOP MEGASTAR JAY-Z!!! After playing with HOV last December 2007 for his opening of his 40/40 CLUB in LAS VEGAS, the opportunity presented itself and MATT is looking forward to seeing more of EUROPE!  Latest Release from K'NAAN Due Out Fall 2008

My good friend K'NAAN'S DEBUT MAJOR LABEL ALBUM, released on OCTONE RECORDS who is also the record label of MAROON 5, is DUE OUT THIS FALL!  I am pleased to say that I contributed to many songs for the upcoming record. We recorded in NYC's SONY STUDIOS as well as in KINGSTON, JAMAICA and the HOME OF BOB MARLEY! There we recorded at HOPE ROAD and TUFF GONG STUDIOS...truely a life enriching experience!  If you've been to my site you've heard K'NAAN and Myself on his song entitled "BLUES, FOR THE HORN", which is for the "HORN" of AFRICA geographically speaking located on the south eastern border of Africa. SUNDAY SKOOL

The 2nd Sunday of every month MATT and his band with guest DJs played at CORK RESTAURANT located in South Jersey close to Philadelphia.
